On "ACCA Leadership Shakeup: Barton James Out, Hoover Named Interim CEO"

Trade associations exist to serve their members, not to perpetuate themselves, so when leadership changes happen it's worth asking whether the board is actually fixing something broken or just reshuffling the deck. The language about "next stage of service, growth, and industry impact" is boilerplate corporate speak that tells you nothing—what matters is whether the new interim CEO understands that ACCA's credibility depends on advocacy that actually moves the needle for contractors in the field, not internal politics or expansion for its own sake. If Hoover comes in and immediately starts listening to shop owners and techs about what they actually need from the association—not what consultants tell her they need—there's a shot this goes somewhere. If it's more of the same, contractors should stop waiting for ACCA to lead and start leading themselves.
