On "Manufacturers and Schools Team Up to Modernize HVACR Workforce"

This is exactly backward. Manufacturers betting on school partnerships to fill the skilled labor gap is smart PR but a lazy long-term strategy—what they really need is to make the trade itself appealing enough that kids want in before they step foot in a classroom. Schools can't create demand for HVAC work; they can only process kids who already decided the path is worth their time. The real play would be wages, job security, and visibility into what techs actually earn, not another industry coalition slapping its name on a curriculum. Until the work itself competes with four-year degrees on lifestyle and pay, these partnerships are treating the symptom while ignoring the disease.
