On "Why Deep Evacuation Is Not a Checkbox. It is System Protection"
Deep evacuation gets skipped or rushed because it doesn't show up on a final inspection form and doesn't sell a customer on anything, but it's what stops moisture and non-condensables from sabotaging a system for years. You can't control-board your way out of a wet, contaminated charge—the refrigerant will fail anyway, your callbacks spike, and you're liable for it. Shops that treat evacuation as a box to tick rather than a real procedure hand off their problems to whoever takes the next service call.
